It’s Spring! Happy New…Year?

All things Spring is a big push forward helping our wellness in many ways.

But did you know…it’s also the Astrological New Year!

The Spring Equinox is the beginning of the 12 month Zodiac cycle, it’s in essence the Astrological New Year. Aries season is characterized with take charge, innovative, no holds barred energy. So after months of hunkering down and hibernation, it’s time for buds to appear, baby critters to scurry about, and a time for us to energetically experience a rebirth.

There are several ways to align with the available energy in good Spring Fashion. One way is to change our diet. Following the Traditional Chinese Medicine or TCM as well as Ayurvedic teachings, the change in seasonal foods to Spring is a shift from Yang, or warmer foods to yin, cooler foods, which include fresh greens, avocados, grapefruit, cucumbers and legumes salad that will cut through the winter fat.

Another way to embrace the longer daylight days, shed the layers, and get your steps in, is to be outside. Consider walking, hiking, biking or even Pickleball! As the fastest growing sport with 1,000 new players entering the game on a daily basis, Pickleball is fairly easy to learn and incorporates strength, cardio, agility and flexibility. This is a great way to meet your community, get exercise, and absorb some well needed Vitamin D from the Sun (don’t forget the sunscreen).

Another Spring energy tip is to embrace nature and all its beauty. Stop to smell the roses so to speak. A bottle of rose essential oil is $200, however, visiting your local flower show is free! Bring happiness to the nose and raise your vibrational energy at the same time.

Wishing you a beautiful Spring and yes.. a Happy New Year. ♈️
